I can't say I've heard any improvements from 180grm vinyl. It's one of those snobbery things from certain types of audiophools. Having said that, this Brinkman fellow may as well have been talking Martian, came across as absolute tosh.
Vinyl is not perfect technically but that's what makes it sound so good. Recently someone said that the denon 103 didn't produce a flat response like some modern MC carts, koetsu as an example. Flat to me means boring as I've always found with koetsu's.
