Thanks guys...
The electronics are Bel Canto, fed by an ATV. The loudspeakers (I promise, there ARE two!) are Lowther Delphic...

I guess anyone who has lived with Lowthers always has niggling doubts, but I do keep coming back to them (and I've owned this pair for 23 years). If I were starting again, big Tannoys might be at the top of my list. They sound as if they are much improved from the overly warm mushy sound I remember from 30 odd years ago. I suppose amplification (and turntables!) have also come on somewhat! :) . I don't think my house will bear another pair of loudspeakers though, much less large ones!
