Hi Guys

Doing the usual rounds today i came across this in the BHF..... in absolutely mint condition user manuals & guarantee although i think this might have run out  but didn't go for it as it was £50 but is a rarity unit not many around it seems the question is i cant stop thinking about it and i think im gonna have tomorrow morning and nab it to get it for looks alone but its gonna bug me all evening now... these are well expensive in the 70's it seems by the HI-FI yearbooks.....

Are these early techy receivers any good and worth a go at this price? stupid question as i think my mind is made up....

Looks like a typical '70s Japanese receiver, as built by one of the "Big 5". If it's in good to excellent cosmetic condition, then £50 would seem reasonable.

Actually that's what I thought you meant, though to be pedantic "exceptional" is an absolute, and cannot be qualified.

Even so, I rather like "well exponential" - something whose condition gets better with time?
