I'm Nic - from East Yorkshire and my wife will kill me if another turntable arrives through our doors (I'm in the process of trimming down some of my kit - honest!)

I have 2 systems that I use, the main home one comprises my Gyro SE, Dynavector Phono Stage, Rega amp, DAC & CD plus B&W Speakers. My second office system has a modified Lenco 78, Cyrus 2, Nakamichi Cassette Deck, Rotel CD & Dynaudio Speakers.

I found the forum when researching phono stages for the Lenco, with my eyes drawn to acquiring a Firebottle Plus.

Looking forward to being part of the community!

Oh, and my music tastes are wide and eclectic but err on the side of Indie, Post-Punk, Alternative - although nothing is off limits!

Welcome to the forum Nic. Anywhere near Scarborough, robin s hood bay area, spent a nice holiday there !. Plenty of info on the lenco here,
from personal use can vouch for the dynavector as being a very good phono stage, me thinks. Enjoy

Was up at Robin Hoods Bay / Ravenscar last weekend. Love it around there!

I'm really enjoying the Lenco, I had (well, still have) one already to modify when a fully finished version came up that made sense to buy. It's replaced an old Rega P3 with Goldring cart I was using in my second system, along with a Graham Slee Reflex-M.

As my new Lenco has a AT MC cart, my Relex-M is redundant - hence looking for a Firebottle. My P75 is staying with my Gyro as it's a great match for the DV20X2 cart I have on there.

Hi Nic,

You could just add a head amp to give you MC capability.

Nice idea - unfortunately I've provisionally 'sold' the Reflex-M to a mate!

Welcome to AOS from me too Nic.

Why are you selling the Reflex M, It's a very good phono stage. I use one with a decent SUT and it sounds great with good MCs.

Anyway, have a browse around and join in any chat that appeals to you.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Thanks - I'm asking myself that too... I jumped in with both feet RE: selling the Reflex thinking I needed something with both MM/MC capabilities while completely ignoring the fact a SUT may have been ideal. Gah!
