Amazing little monitors --- a significant update on the BBC LS3/5A they present a really impressive soundstage and significant bass for a speaker this size -- more efficient than the Harbeth P3ESR but I think in the same vein ---- would seriously recommend these are considered alongside other quality monitors as I believe they more than hold their own ---- audition welcome of course.
Beautifully finished in walnut -- I am only moving these on as I have picked up a pair of ANJ/Bs which suit my quite large room better
I do have the original boxes so courier is a possibility --- I don't have the original boxes for the stands but could find something suitable as needed ---- the stands are Podium I believe from Hifi Racks --- they are not a perfect colour match but very close.

£725 plus P&P

As Chris mentions in the first post, we actually tried these side-by-side with my Harbeth P3ESRs. In Chris's room, which is bigger than mine, the 1920s were clearly more efficient, with a slightly deeper bass, and similar levels of detail. They also gave me the impression of being more dynamic at lower volumes, where the Harbies can be a bit 'shut-in' when not driven hard. Anyone wanting a great-looking, and discrete, set of speakers for a small or medium-sized room would do well to consider these ... high quality speakers at a very decent price imo. The stands are a really great visual match btw

Ah, silly these still being around Chris!
MAD's biggest mistake was not putting their gear out more for reviews etc, most mags charge u advertising costs before they will even entertain anything these days which is utter crap! They produce some awesome gear that is widely unknown due to the nature of the market, which is a crying shame, ive listened to these many times a few years back through a friend and they are terrific speakers which as said react great at low levels conveying a rich detailed and dy Naim wound which stays true and u inquest at any volume level.
If MAD spent UNECESSARY money on adverts jwith the mainstream mags to get their name out there, these would have sold on the first day!
So sad the way the industry is...
Do u speculate to accumulate, or save ur pennies and pump it into quality products, unfortunately, it's not ur choice anymore!

Tks Dan ---- I couldn't agree more both with how the industry works and also the quality of these speakers --- I've changed my mind once already about keeping them, maybe someone is telling me to keep them ! ... I just have a few unexpected bills come along at a bad time and so I need to raise funds really as cant justify having too much gear sitting around but I'm not going to give them away ...... in the lap of the someone upstairs, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat and this mng I had that most unexpected and in my case only ever cheque back from HMRC ! --- just a couple of hundred quid that my poor old mum had overpaid before she passed away - but take pleasure from the little things is new mantra -- too much and too easy to moan about !! ..... tks for comments Dan and bump from Oliver

Having visited Chris this morning he was playing these speakers and I was amazed at the sound they produced in what is a rather large room. The bass performance was particularly impressive for such small speakers and they weren't even sitting on their dedicated stands.

I would never let my wife see or hear these speakers because I know I would face the inevitable questions about why I must have much larger floor standing speakers in our house!

If anyone is looking for a pair of very small easy to drive speakers these are definitely worth considering.

I have to say having read the reviews these look like a no brainer for anyone considering a pair of small speakers. LS3/5a's with genuine bass instead of a midbass hump was a common theme, which sounds pretty good to me! I'm sorely tempted but I'm a big speaker man.

Thanks for comments Lawrence --- it does mystify me somewhat that these haven't sold - I honestly think the price is fair - and they are very very good - physics has to come into play and so you wouldnt buy them for Dub (!) but they work well with all the music I play and unless someone's room is really large they can fill it with great music ..... in the past I had some other gear that hung around longer than I thought it would and when it did sell all of a sudden I got loads of mails about it - sods law I think ...... I picked up a pair of Kudos Cardea C2s and they do offer more bass and 'presence' I guess but they cost a lot more new and still have a larger footprint ---- for a small bookshelf/standmount I'd put these MAD up against most competition ....... anyway tks again
