£30 is a proper bargain for somebody. :)

Have just noticed that the base drivers are selling on E Bay at £50 upwards and the tweeters at about £20, so altogether this is something of a bargain.

I own a pair of 'Bookshelf' speakers like these, but they have more complicated crossovers.

The B139s in mine are lightweight models made specially for Radford by KEF, I understand.

It's interesting that these crossovers are a much simpler circuit than the ones in my Radford 'Bookshelf' loudspeakers.
It would appear that the B139s in mine are different to the ones in these.
I understand that my particular 'Bookshelf' models
have the lighter-weight cone B139s.

Do any Forum members have information on the B139 variants that KEF produced ?

It's very difficult to find information on Radford loudspeakers.
I know that Dr. Arthur Bailey had quite a lot of input into the Radford loudspeaker designs.
Arthur Radford was, as far as I know, purely an amplifier designer.

Looks like they will be going to a good home. One of those strange situations where the cabinets can be smashed up but the internals have greater value than the complete speakers. Glad they will be preserved. ��
