John McLaughlin is in town this weekend at the Festival Theatre (July 16). A legendary guitarist who along with Anthony Williams, Chick Corea and Miles Davis helped form Jazz-Rock fusion in the late 60's and 70's.

An avant-gardist, he contributed on Miles Davis albums "Bitches Brew" and "In a Silent Way", highlighting his success with his Mahavishnu Orchestra.

"The inner mounting flame" (1971) and "Birds of fire" (1973) are two albums that we recommend checking out.

There are still a few tickets available - so better be quick!

Wish I lived in your neck of the woods Carlo, a phenomenal guitarist.

Any chance of a review afterwards?

:)

Hello Alan,

Yes this is a great time to be around sunny Edinburgh with so many events coming up!
Wish I had the time to relax and see the show, we are still hard at work day and night to bring everything where it should be, so it was a shame to pass it on this time.
Not the same thing as a review but a nice video to keep the spirits up: :reel::D:reel:
