View Full Version : FOR SALE: Very rare Auditorium 23 speakers
My Auditorium 23 speakers based on Roiene speakers are now for sale.
They have standed in my set for roughly one year and a half, which is less than common :lol:

They were originally made to match Shindo electronics, I assume they should work pretty well with AN, Kondo, Sun Audio and more generally with low powered valve or SS amplifiers.
I'd like to recover the price I paid for them (1100 £); PRICE DROP 1000 £ , shipping at buyer's expenses can be an option but I'm a bit reluctant due to the need of adapted boxes.
They can be seen and listened to in my place 110 m from Portsmouth.

Auditorium 23 speakers are not well known in the UK, but I believe that over the years they have had many different models. What is the name of these speakers, and when were they made? Dimensions? Speaker size? Sensitivity? Any further details would be welcome.
You say you are 110 miles from Portsmouth ... where in France are you?

I'm in Le Havre so 30 km from Etretat and 20 from Honfleur.
I've tried to get some info from A23 without any success so far. In my opinion they were made in the mid-80's or at the begining of 90's. ( http://www.acoustic-dimension.com/Auditorium-23/auditorium-23-main-page.htm ).
The only other pair I knew was owned by a Canadian (?) who goes on pinkfishmedia , audioaficionado and hifisharks forum. Sensitivity is 93 or 94 .
He now owns solovox, he had an Allnic as I currently do and is now equipped with a full Shindo set.

it is just what I did without any answer. I'll try again.
They used to be imported by a friend of Keith (M Choukroun in Paris) who might have some information too.
Price drop to 1000 £.
We had a small bake off yesterday at a friend's place. They are pretty close to his Altec 19 and even better by far from a waf point of view. :lol:
