For Andy Murray to win in three straight sets is just incredible, it was a very tense and stressful game which made it all the more exciting !

4000 holes was, I think, a reference to a road in Blackburn(lancs, not Scotland), if memory serves. Long time ago, and doubt many would get it nowadays.

It's from 'A Day in the Life' on Sgt Pepper. Lennon read a news story in a local paper about there being '4,000 potholes Blackburn, Lancashire' and incorporated it into the song's lyrics:

'I read the news today, oh boy
4,000 holes in Blackburn Lancashire
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes
It takes to fill the Albert Hall'

Thanks for the clarification, Joe. Interesting, but much as I enjoy listening to music from The Beatles, and have played that album a number of times, I'm afraid that sort of stuff just wouldn't 'stick', unless I was *really* a major fan who obsessed over lyrics :)
