No worries. The Air Power basically uses two transformers to provide a fixed voltage to the two sets of coils in the motor. This voltage is optimised to achieve minimal vibration of the motor. The capacitor in series with one set of coils causes the voltage fed to those coils to lag behind the voltage provided to the other coils and that allows the motor to turn. The capacitor could do with optimising too as the value chosen is a preferred value and needs to be trimmed slightly. That's about as much as I can tell you but there are members posting here who know much more about this than I do.

I've got one that has a questionable transformer, it may work but I'm not 100%
If you want it to take on as a project it is yours for Ģ60 plus postage costs it is heavy.

If I didnīt already have one Iīd snap this one up. They make tanks seem puny. Even in a worst case scenario that the ginormous toroidal it has inside were buggered you could substitute it with two seperate , much smaller trannies as described by leigh Norton in the kit he devised later on and they would fit inside the case easily. If you wanted to improve on it you could fit variacs (variable trannies) to allow the ultimate in vibration minimization.
