High quality, well-made UK speakers, finished in a nice cherry veneer, these perform to a surprisingly good standard. I've had this pair for about eight years now, used in various second systems, and they've seen off quite a few more 'famous' mini-speakers. They are 11x8x11 inches (hwd) with a 5.25 inch rubber-surround driver plus 1 inch titanium tweeter (which is very good, not at all shrieky like some metal domes). Spec'd at 88dB and 8 Ohms, they are a relatively easy load for a small speaker. Unfortunately, they are missing the grills, but they actually look better without them imo, and were acoustically compromised, so no great loss :D. I have used them on stands to good effect, but mainly on actual bookshelves, where the forward-firing port works well.

Originally £330, I would like £75 plus delivery at cost. Note that UK postage is likely to be around twenty quid (they are quite heavy), so would prefer collection or meet up near Northampton (M1, M6, A14, A43 etc).

I suppose these are not very well-known, as they were only produced for a couple of years or so, so maybe a price reduction might be in order?

Now £75 incl. delivery in UK, or £55 collect or meet close to Northampton

Good quality and sound, a cut above the normal 'budget' bookshelf jobs.

Am away from the internet from 15th to 27th July. Will answer any PMs when I get back.

And I'm back :)

However, no interest so far, so seems like they are destined for the dreaded storage shed (aka 'the Northamptonshire black hole'), which is a shame as they deserve to be heard :(

Removed from sale, and heading for the skip ... one of the tweeters is blown.
Sorry to all enquirers, I should have checked them before advertising.

Put them on gumtree as spares or repairs... i would have taken them but I'm not allowed any more speakers unfortunately, Would be a shame to bin them.

You're probably right, but had bad experiences with Gumtree, and tbh can't be bothered finding packaging and hassle of shipping.
If anyone wants them, free collect Watford services, near junction 17 M1. Otherwise, going to the local recycling centre Monday morning.

If there is no interest from anyone else for these I'll take them off your hands Peter. I've got a set of f10 Celestions that I'm going to strip and use the drivers for another project and could use the tweeter out of them for now. I can come collect them from you Tuesday or Wednesday (funnily enough a mate needs a lift to Northampton)...I can't offer cash at the minute but will do a swap, I've got a 60cm CC02 Atacama centre speaker stand with attabites if that's of any use to you.
