As part of rationalising the number of boxes I currently have, I'm selling off my much prized MCA-11 MC preamplifier and my Hagerman Bugle phono stage (MM).

First up, the Albarry:

This is a superb low noise MC head amplifier which does the same job as an SUT and provides gain for MC cartridges. This one has been used with MC cartridges having an output as low as 0.28mV. It benefits from battery operation, which eliminates noise usually induced by the AC power supplies plus features jump switches for altering the internal loading, using dip switches for 100, 50 and 25 Ohms (ie any combination of these) which is currently set at 125 Ohms.

It takes one 9V battery.

Of all the MC step up devices I've used over the years, this is one of the best. It gives a very authoritative, punchy sound without the usual hiss or earth hum issues which can be a nuisance when adding a lot of gain.

Simply plug your MC cartridge output leads from your TT into this unit, and the output from the MCA-11 straight into your MM phono stage.

This unit is about 3 years old. RRP is currently over £500

Will sell for £299 delivered

Next up is my Hagerman Bugle2 MM phonostage. This is one that I built myself and has been doing sterling service as the preamp for my Garrard TT. It is a super little phono stage which betters many, if not all, of the current crop of entry level phonostages at twice the price!

As it was being built - internals:

Cased up and tested:

This really is a super little phonostage which you can read more about here (https://hagerman-audio-labs.myshopify.com/products/bugle2)

Current RRP excluding import duties and taxes is about £140, or around £185 delivered.

Asking £75 delivered.

It requires a standard wall wart 9V/1.3A switching power supply such as this one:

Reason for selling these is that I have too many boxes and bits of kit and am looking to rationalise them into fewer boxes. Both items are in great condition and will be sent securely packaged via recorded delivery.

Please PM me for more details. No low ball offers please folks. The prices are very fair, and neither of these come up for sale very often on the used market...for very good reason!

A bargain for the Albarry, currently £740 and worth every penny in my view, it neither adds nor removes anything from the signal path, it just lets the cartridge do it's job.

Good luck Paul

cheers Al

Thanks Al. Long time no speak! Yes, it's one of the very best I've come across in that price range. Neil should be justifiably proud!

Didnt think it would last long Paul. Always liked Alberry stuff... Ive gone back to mm only now. Saves on mucking about, and the ones i have i like anyway. If i still had a mc i would have been tempted.
Once i finish/ if i finish my speaker build think i will be happy.
