I think genuinely Zep were wearing their influences on their sleeve and weren't exactly untalented to the level they had to rip off others.
Also, in a way it helped folk turn on to the old blues guys, which is never a bad thing in my book.

I was aware of some of the other Songs that they have been accused of using as inspiration, but not all of the ones you linked to.
Either way, they have been cleared of this one, so they get to keep they're royalties.

Aye, I hear you Tony...

Life can be unfair at times, I'd be a bit hoppin' mad if I'd have busted a nut and got a song out there to be enjoyed, and ultimately "borrowed" by someone who made money from it.

The guy from Spirit has been dead for a while now.. The guy pushing the case either manages or owns the estate of the "alleged ripped off"

nice little windfall if he'd won the case. The cynic in me feels his legal team were a "no win no fee" outfit..
