Hello from USA

Hello, Charles here - moved from UK to USA 6 months ago.
Interested in hi fi from 1976.
First system was Amstrad 8000 amp, National Panasonic sl19 turntable with AT cartridge and Wharfedale Denton speakers.
After many years and many (mostly speaker) changes now have Spendor sp2/3r2 Spendor C9 centre Spendor S3/5r2 rears Yamaha Z9 amp Sony XA3000es cd player and Denon dvd A1 dvd (also used for CD) TEAC D-T1 DAC plus some more dvd and blu ray players.
Will try and list all the speakers I've had and listened to, shortly. I hope it will be of interest to many on here. I worked in hi;fi retail for a couple of years 79 -81 so have experience with a lot of gear from that time. Also I know quite a lot about RAM speakers - I lived in Norwich and knew the guys behind the brand.

So you had an Amstrad 8000 amp. Nasty! I started out with one too. It was a disaster. :)

Tell us what music you listen to and about any plans you may have for your system.

We'd certainly like to hear about your past speakers. I'll bet many of us have owned some of them.
