The thing with Cassette decks is there is usually something about the Aesthetics somewhere that puts me off , ie horrid door design or ugly switches.I also believe totally flat facias & knobs make for nice looking decks, modern rounded shapes do not

'TC-K950ES' is a beauty & example of how i believe a deck should look like.. Its a shame all these nice decks did not have proper VU's

I can slightly justify my " retention " of a cassette deck. I used to be a musician and have a lot of tapes of sessions, gigs and other related nonsense that I have promised myself to one day store digitally ( when I get round to it ) and will need a cassette deck for the purpose. Also there's something rather nice about the mechanical nature of these bits of kit, perhaps that's a sign of my age. Anyway the new drive belts have been ordered so the old Marantz will live again. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I have a Nakamichi 600 two head cassette deck which is very unique in style , an absolute beauty in my eyes.

I was surpised at enlarging your photo that yes it's a good looking deck - don't expect that from a 90s deck like that (or whatever era it's from).

I think the Tandberg 3004 is a great looking deck in a late 70s fussy kind of way:

Aye they were beauties.. However i thought the smaller '3014' looked nicer.

A thread on beautiful cassette decks with no mention of B&O yet? Disgraceful!

Here's my favourite: http://beocentral.com/beocord5000-1980s

Has the Yamaha 'wedge' been cited?
