Hello all,

Having just discovered this forum, and read a few posts, this looks like the place for me.

Apart from my outdoor pursuits I have been a hifi & music lover since drawing my first pay cheque many, many, many years ago.
My passion for music means I spend a lot of time scouring the Internet (thanks Tim BL) for music that apart from be being "good" is well recorded and appeals to the ear. I place no restrictions on genres but my main interests lie in Jazz, Rock & Electronic music from the early 1970's onwards.

Hifi enthusiasm is another ongoing development but, enough about me, for now.

Thanks Shane, Nice to know there's some of us, Devonians, left. As if that isn't near perfection, hifi nuts as well

Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

current setup = Meridian AC200, DSP5200SL, MSR+, Primare BD32 Bluray player, Primare NP30, 2x Quad L subs, Naim Muso, Naim Muso-QB, Synology DS209 NAS, Zen Music Server (Innuous),Controlled with iMac/iPad & iPhone 6s, Amarra Symphony, Musical Fidelity V60 USB DAC. Stax SR-507 Lambda, Stax SRM-006tII. Epson TW6600 projector & 108" screen

Then there's the stuff I can't remember, stored in dark corners.......

Plans...currently checking out software for audio processing control (I hate iTunes with a passion) Amarra is fine but clunky, so looking at Swinsian & Jriver........other software in the pipeline.....amazing how different they sound....

no no more big plans, yet, I've spent a small fortune in the last twelve months

Hi Barry,

thanks for your greeting, I have listened to the AC choice, not quite my cuppa but I'm always keen to try new sounds (o thought I had left a comment there's no sign of it so my memory is probably going through a crisis at the mo).
Regular reviews are a great idea but, personally speaking, I would prefer to see a few new sounds every month.

Maybe it's time for a new topic.......

I don't make the Album Club choices. Every year I put out a call for a new rota. Anyone who is interested contacts me (in the Album Club) and he/she make their submission in turn. Some choices are indeed new (Bowie's 'Black Star' for example), others have been released before, but may have missed the attention of Members first time around. I hear quite a lot of Album Club choices which are 'new' to me and I appreciate the opportunity.

Anyway thanks for listening to the current Album Club choice. Perhaps next month's choice will be more to your taste.'
