I thought it about time i stopped messing about these days & got my man cave & system complete. I decided to opt for the posh Gloss white Ikea storage.

I have got two units already made up, i have Fitted some nice chrome adjustable feet. Ill carry on with the rest tomorrow. When i make up the next one i think im going to leave out the top centre divider, swap out & put the amp & cassette deck in there, TT ontop.. Still looking for some more Orange Gustavsberg Record racks like you see on top if anyone has any!!

(What are the green things? Record sleeve protectors?)

No they are Platipus Records 12" singles i just placed one in each opening for the picture. The dark green one are the song release, the light coloured ones are the Remixes of it..The black Platipus on top is the old design sleeve..

Im going for what was known in the late 60's as the 'Space Age design living.. Original artefacts now cost the earth, if you can get them..

im presently looking for an original Artemide 'Nesso' orange lamp

Marco could chip in with the mannequin, although it may be slightly used ;)

This is my lamp - it goes rather nicely with the Spacedeck.

On well against my better judgement i decided to fit shelving to the centre of the wall between the Record storage units.. You know when you cant be arsed
any more, just stuck up some heavy duty 2 slot uprights.. :eyebrows: off for some wall bolts tomorrow, i do not trust raw plugs for things like Turntables on da wall.

Just wondering if some OSB Board varnished up would match in with the white finish of the units!!

That's a Joke.. Right?

Always astounds at the seemingly ubiquitous usage of OSB inna UK.
A friend's father (now RIP) invented the stuff, as a method of using (previously) wasted wood chips.
Big issues with it absorbing moisture, even from Ambient air .. then swelling. Much Like Medite does.
It's widely reviled in North America as result.
It used to be dirt cheap. But heavy demand from 'Too Cheap' builders drove up prices.. Gotta love the Irony in that.
Best to heavily seal it before .. painting.
IF your query was serious

Not sure about the tone of that.

me neither.

nothing wrong with OSB, if used right. Its very good at loadbearing; just use the right one for the job. They make it out of straw too

And of course the manufacturers that specialise in OSB furniture are I suppose jokes too?
