I searched on the Internet for anything relating to the original colour Scheme/logo because on my way to work this morning i passed our local Co-op & wtf is going on here with the old colours! you gotta admit it looks brilliant. I remember all the Milk Floats & Fruit/Veg vans done in that colour scheme years ago.

ISTR it being CWS in red letters on a white background. We used to get our milk from them and I thought it was an abbreviation for 'cow's milk'.

In Scotland we had the scws.. They had buildings in Glasgow. We used to go there to get outfitted on occasion as my dad was managing director of one of the societies.
Great memories of long gone times and folk.

Watneys Red Barrel is undoubtedly a 70s icon, as are pint pots with handles [the choice of true men]! ;)

An old film of our gala week 3 mins in shows hardys, the castle bar and the coop..(no logo) . Was like that for years tbh til the blue signage was added in late 60's. I remember one or 2 faces from past in that film although b4 my memory tbh, many of the men were local worthies for years
