View Full Version : North West Audio Show Sunday 26th June
This is coming up again, split between two sites this year.
Was worth it last year, some very good sounding but expensive systems and some terrible sounding but expensive systems - always an eye-opener.
If you are planning to eat/drink there take a wheelbarrow full of money as it isn't cheap, but entry to the show is free.
Whose planning to go?
EDIT; here's a linky http://audioshow.co.uk/

Not me 2 far away :)
Oh yes, I will be going - hopefully with a few friends :). I went to the two previous shows and they were excellent - as you say, some good sounding systems and some not so good - all very interesting though. Although the hotel is quite expensive both parking and entrance are completely free :).

Don't think they let southerners in anyway...

I might go, probably go via the train unless anyone is driving and I'm more than happy to contribute a big percentage towards the petrol.

I'd have been interested in this but it clashes with Glastonbury. Was the same last year too.

I've just downloaded the iPhone app and I'm afraid it doesn't work. The screen opens but then immediately crashes - I'm running the latest updates on an iPhone 6. Does the same thing on my iPad too :(.

Sorry mate still crashes out. No update visible but I deleted the app and downloaded it again. Momentarily went to the second page but then crashed out again, after that crashes out a second after loading (as before).

Will do - will keep you updated :).
Barring going away on holiday (we haven't planned what we're doing yet in that respect), I'll defo be there. As usual, any AoS members I don't know, who identify themselves, including those I do know, will be bought a drink at the bar

I'm going to attend, not been to a hifi show since they stopped the Manchester one a few years back. I love looking/listening to stuff that I can't afford, but like the smug feeling I get at the end when I think that my Creek/Epos set-up is as good as nearly everything on show
Those Kralk Audio speakers (made in sunny Wakefield ) look nice, I wonder how they sound.

Will you have a badge on or do I see you at the bar :)
I'll be going again , just to the Cranage part though.
That's probably what I'll do if I get up early enough.
Just on my way back from it :)
So was it any good, chaps and chap-ettes? Did anyone take any pics? :)
Unfortunately I was busy elsewhere, so couldn't go.
Marco.
Yeah, it was good. I went with my friend Dave and we had a good time :). The second hotel was a bit far and didn't have a lot of rooms - I wonder if that bit will happen again. The Cranage bit was very good - some odd-ball stuff, some crazy expensive etc. - I didn't take a single picture I'm afraid but may do a little write-up. Oh, there was a new idler drive turntable (made in Sheffield) that looked very nicely made indeed and sounded good too (5K to buy).
I did look out for you and Tony L - didn't see either (though I've since heard that Tone did go).

Well it was certainly better than last year's event. I had to check my sat nav several times to make sure I had the right place for the second venue. Boy they were half an hour drive apart, a good job it was in the right direction on the way home.
