stylus pics

No real point to this thread beyond ive just recently bought a usb microscope thing and managed to get a couple of pics of my stylus :) I bought a new one a short while ago, never got round to actually swapping the stylus over and then forgot if i did or not so it came in handy to see which was the new one.

Both are the goldring elektra. First is a brand new one and the second is the one ive been using for a while. Interesting to see how much build up it gets. Now im looking around for things to look at close up :)

Very nice photos resolution wise; Clear and sharp.
IMO tho they are not near high enough magnification.
Can it go higher?
Those piccies seem to verify the presence of the Tip.. not it's actual condition

pain in the arse getting it set up to view sra angle,been there and got the t-shirt lol now i just set the tone arm level.

That Certainly looks trick. And the 100x! ?
My cheap ass (3$) 60X hand jobbie gives a Much closer stylus view.
It's 'almost' good enough for a useful Stylus condition exam.
So why are the posted piccies, beyond being 'pretty ' so small of magnification that they serve little to no purpose in examining the tips' condition?
Presumably intentional .. then?

Where do you get 100x from? The one Jamie linked to is 500x and the one I've linked to is 1000x.

i bought mine to check SRA angle,it also came with measuring software.
