Here we have a rather lovely Theta DAC. This is a great DAC. I'm only selling it because I got the chance to replace it with a Monarchy Audio DAC.

Needless to say, this sounds lively and wonderful, not too brash. There are some marks here and there, but they don't affect the sound. This is quite heavy and I don't have any packaging so would prefer collection. If I do agree to post, that will be extra.

I would like £180 for this super piece of kit.

Worth highlighting this is the improved A version. If I was in Bristol I'd be around like a shot!

Someone has an absolute bargain there. It's a great DAC.

(which Monarchy Audio DAC are you now using Peter?)

Andy has got a bargain. And a free, possibly working, DIP to go with it.

I've still got the one I bought from here. I think I got it from Struth. I'd need to check.

An even bigger bargain than I thought then.

I went from the Theta DS Pro Progeny to the Monarchy Audio M22B. The M22 series DACs are like gold dust these days, they just don't come up for sale.

Can't see which one mine is.

Ah, found it. It's a 22a, and I did get it from Grant.

I certainly have; thanks again for the DIP, that was an unexpected bonus! It's working on the optical input just fine and outputting coax as I write this.

The Dac and DIP sound better on coax rather than TOSlink.

Excellent! Hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it.

Andy. Let us know how you get on with the Theta once you've acclimatised to what it does.

I remember my first Theta DAC, the humble little Cobalt unit, being a big leap in sound quality after the various Mission, Cambridge and Audio Alchemy etc., models I'd tried.

My old dip only worked on one input.. Cant remember which .....Ive still got an Audio Alchemy in storage. It was maybe a bit bright but it was nice bright. Ive gone naked now and just run off the native dac and run it through my buffer. Personally i believe it sounds more natural and revealing with better timing.
