Interesting article Stewart, make you realise how difficult it was for the pioneering engineers of the first 16 track ATR's, bet they wish they had Spice and CAD design tools back then.
Also interesting how the quality of interface connections switches and relays all developed, and Im sure much of what we have today benefitted as a result of this experience
