I've joined because the bug is back. I started in the early 70s with a Goldring GL75, Armstrong 521 and Wharfdale Tritons. Ended up with early Gyrodeck, Rega RB300, AT 9 MC (I think), Musical Fidelity Pre 3a and P140, Spendor Preludes in the 80s. Then children.
Over the years various things died and were limped on with cheap substitutes. But the record and then CD buying kept going. So it is time to revisit what to listen to the over 5000 pieces of plastic with music on split about 50/50 LP and CD.
So currently... Gyro, Rega with Goldring Electra, MF X-Pre3, P140. Cd on sony 3000es and new acquisitions last week - b&w 804s.
Probably look at CD player next. The new speakers are a delight.
Music tastes... Rock, jazz, choral and early music. Most things apart from opera!
This will be fun.
Beasdad.

Hello Chrichton. Welcome to AOS.

So the bug is back is it. Could be an expensive journey if you get in deep! :)

You have assembled a useful system there. Apart from CD, do you have any further plans?

You'll find plenty to interest you here. Have a look around and join in the chat.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.
