They are sure really nice set of speakers, especially when paired with suitable amplification. But they do look weird without the original model plates.. :)

Behind the link there is message I wrote about my latest NS-1000M pair few months back.. http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?11598-Mika-K-s-system&p=729287#post729287

Agreed , I did read somewhere that the missing name plate is common on these, might try a bit of tipex !!

When you've got the time this *quite* long thread here goes into a fair bit of detail on the NS1000M and what makes them tick:

Look at the link above (nothing to do with me). I also used a laser cutter to make my badges - the originals are just stickers.

Cool - glad to help :). I did make some pretty much exactly like the ones the eBay chap is selling but in the end I used some more elaborate ones I made from acrylic. I don't know exactly how the eBay ones are done but I used a melamine laminate that is faced with a thin layer of brushed aluminium. I then sprayed it black all over and used a laser cutter to burn off the black creating letters in brushed aluminium (worked really well). I don't know for sure but the eBay ones look extremely similar to mine. I would also say that the price is very reasonable indeed considering the custom graphics and general messing about involved.

I hope you enjoy your Yammies as much as I enjoy mine - really great speakers :).

Those look very nice (the ebay one's), thoughnot as good as YNWaN's!

andyrlb, you're in for a treat! At least if youre lucky to have some suitable amplification...
I am feeding mine with the grunt of a Karan KA S270 and they sound absolutely fantastic!

Make sure you get them on some proper stands also, makes a major difference!

Thanks Mike for the kind comments, I think the Ebay chap has done a nice job though :).

Yes, I agree about the importance of stands. Unfortunately they can be a bit of an issue for the Yammies as they are a bit of an odd dimension.
