Hi all, I have been interested in quality sounds since 18 years old nearly 30 years ago.

I was introduced to the Rogers LS3/5a in the 80's and bought mine after a bit of saving. Still have them today.

Play them through a Musical Fidelity A1 amp which was refurbished by a MF engineer to 50w when the power supply blew a couple of years ago.

Sources include a Musical Fidelity CD1 and Roksan Xerxes.

Just recently purchased a a pair of Kef LS50's.

Looking to purchase a second user Naim all in one depending on price and quality. I have been told Unitilite or SuperUniti are both good, however, a great price difference but is the quality difference in sound going to be heard through the LS50s? I need to have a listen. Also after a Kef R200c if anyone has one at a fair price. Will put my forum posts regarding these in due course.

Nice to meet you all.

Welcome to AOS Sam.

Quite a few LS3/5a fans here, so you'll be in good company.

Naim is popular too. If you have questions, Start a thread in the Blank Canvas section and ask. There may even be somebody who could let you have a listen.

Tell us what music you listen to.

(by the way, if you want to be called Sam, put it in your profile)

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi Sanjay, lots of idiots.....errr members on here who live in Surrey:D

There used to be a proper Hifi shop in Woking (Bartletts) where I bought an Audiolab 8000A and Trichord Genesis in 1995. I must have had more money than sense then

Yes, but hard to beat the LS3/5a easily within a budget. I do like the LS50 though but was told they need about 100-200 hours of running in...

Thanks Geoff. I will probably change it to Sanj then. I quite like a mix of 80s/90s stuff, Motown, Chilled Jazz, Bob James, Dave Grusin etc.

Hey Puffin, I have only been in Woking last 10 years. Great to be in Surrey after having lived in Wembley for so long.
