For sale: Audio-GD NFB12 DAC / preamp / headphone amp

I've slimmed down my second system so this is no longer needed. I used it as a DAC and preamp but it can also be used as a headphone amp, an is apparently very decent. It's very versatile - the DAC accepts up to 24/96 files over USB and optical inputs, and 24/192 over SP/DIF. You can connect all 3 inputs simultaneously and switch between them from the front panel.

Output is via single-ended RCAs. You can select fixed, variable or headphone output from the front panel, where there is also a headphone jack and volume control. A gain switch is also conveniently located on the front panel so you can accurately match output to your headphones, monitors or power amp.

I used this with a Quad 306 into a pair of Harbeths and it was lovely. Certainly punches well above it's price point!

Nowt wrong with a bit of box swapping now and again done it myself just recently sometimes you have to take a punt with gear sometimes it works sometimes not:D

This worked really well for me - I'm just going down the route of a portable DAC and headphones rather than a desktop system.

I've got the NFB11 with sabre chip, mine is more detailed this is said to be more smooth. I'm very happy with mine, been using it as a dac more than headphone amp but sounds nice with my AKG Q701s.
