Eyup, just a quick hello from a new member in Derbyshire.

I've just added a SL-1200MK2 to my Unison Research Unico P / Sonus Faber Concertino set up in a small room (4m square).

Having sold my vinyl and entry level TT (a Dual I think) in 1990 to go to college with CDs, I've stuck with the format until now. Have felt the itch to get LPs of my favourite recordings, so bought a clean Technics from 2002 (I think).

Learnt plenty from this forum in the process of deciding which TT to choose. I don't pretend to know anything about hifi, but I do like music. Thought I should pop my head up rather than just lurking, so there you have it. Hello.

Hi David. Welcome to AOS.

You've come to the right place for an SL-1210 owner, they are very popular here. I take it you've seen the Techiepedia sub-forum in our Analogue Arts section.

Your Unison and Concertinos should sound pretty good. Tell us what music you like and what plans you may have for your system.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Eyup Geoff, I worked in clubs from '94-2008 so I'm a bit taken with Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Leftfield et al. Technics of course were standard issue.

Before that career l bought, enjoyed and still today listen to Miles, Dylan, Jimi, Eno...

My goal with the development of my parts is to keep being thrilled by sound. I'd rather spend money on recordings than equipment. Of the components I possess I'd like to extract their best potential.
