mine are staying put! there's been a steady stream of 66's on ebay recently,currently average price is £1000-1300 depending on condition,theres no pattern as early ones have been high prices as well as the veneered baffle board ones.

get yours off the floor and you may change your mind on selling them :)

Well they're tall, but the footprint is not massive.

They're very popular these days, so you'll have no trouble shifting them.

the early ones have a black painted baffle board,yours are veneered to match the cabinets,also the mid driver was updated,very late ones have a bigger dust cap to the woofer.

I've had Monitor Gold Chatsworths, HPD Cheviots, HPD Devons, HPD Eatons (five pairs), System 1000, System 800 (four pairs), System 600 (two pairs), DC1000, i6, DC6i (crap).

Currently own Ascots and Cheviot Mk.II 3128, which are by far the best that have been on my system, although the Eaton is lovely.

If you really can't use them stick them up for sale and let someone else have the benefit of them. They are too good to be sat in storage. What would a comparable modern big speaker like them cost new? The only thing I can think of that I've heard and might give them a run for the money is the B&W 683 at about £1400

They are a great sounding speaker, but don't suit every listening environment.

I've heard them sound very, very impressive and also not so good, Seems you need a smooth amp with good power supply and a good clean source - digital or a very good TT set up. The mid range is properly good and with enough power they will fill a dance hall without strain.

what i don't get is,3 months ago you only saw 1 pair very occasionally on ebay,within a month there must have been 8 pairs sold and 2 pairs on at the moment,why?
perhaps Geoff is right in that they don't suit everyone?
i still would like to try a pair of kef Corellis at some point,i missed a pair locally for £80 with stands.

Have you noticed that all the Ditton 25s have disappeared. There are usually a few about.

The Corelli is very nice. It was basically the final development of the Chorale. Soundwise, think LS3/5a with some wellie.
