More vintage kit arrived last night at Chateau Montesquieu, fresh from an expert refurb where it was fettled and re-voiced …
Bit of retro styling going on, was built in Kent in 1963, but harking back to a rather older design.
Quite minimalist in terms of features. Treble and midrange to die for, though the lack of size means bass extension isn’t quite what it might be.
Still it should be fit for purpose - not sure how it would hold up with rock music or even jazz, but perfect for baroque and (especially) renaissance music ….
