Hi, Mark from BC Canada, a Brit Expat.
Bought my first "Real HiFi" in 74 - Ariston RD11, SME 3009, Akai AA5800 and Celestion 25's.
been through sooooo much gear since. Here is a link to my gallery on CAM, it tells you more about me than I could adequately express :)

YEs, I'm a big fan of Unipivots - Ive had4 now I think, I have one at present and debating whether to put it on the revamped TT2 or not. It will be either a Non Improved SME 3009, A MAS 282 or the Mayware

I would have thought the old Sonus Uni would have been easier to source in Canada?

Hello Mark. Welcome to AOS.

That's a fair old selection of gear you have. Interesting. :)

I reckon a Mayware on a TT2 would be a lovely combination.

Tell us what music you listen to.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi Andre, I have never seen one come up for sale over here? It looks like a Mayware with a bent arm?
I do love my Michell Fluid http://img.canuckaudiomart.com/uploads/user_image/14262/15485.jpg
though they are selling on Ebay for silly money at the moment

Hi Geoff, mainly Prog late 60's 70's and now NeoProg. A little Jazz (but they have to be playing the same tune if you know what I mean )
Any good singer/songwriter, Folk etc.
Mark

You need an ADC 26 in that Fluid Arm mate. :)

It did have a ADC XLM but changed it for an Ortofon VMS20E II - I have 3 of them in use at present and think its a great high comp cart.

Variations of that Arm design were made in Japan for Mayware, JH Reproducers, Sonus etc..Yes the Sonus has a bend in the arm-tube.. Mayware were brilliant, superb carts & superb 'T24' MC transformer..

Superb tracking with loverly open midrange..

The Transcriptors uni is probably the lowest mass of all the uni-pivots & is a perfect match for the insanely high compliance ADC Block cart that Geoff mentioned...

I see you got a Mk.I 'Gyro' i much prefer those early Aluminium Platters they alser used on the the 'S' version of the 'Focus One'..Never like the later carbon loaded affairs misen.
