What musical little speakers these are!!!

Bought them so that we could still have a stereo on and blazing away whilst the neighbours are on their holidays and we're decorating my office and redoing the dining room!

They've landed with me this morning and I've got them hooked up to my NAD C352 integrated and currently they're being fed music via iTunes/Mac Mini >> Fiio D3 DAC

Just putting them through their paces and one song I'm hooked to currently is the Vivaldi tune from Spectre; 'Nisi Dominus - Cum Dederit' - I downloaded Andreas Scholl's version from iTunes, its not the best recording, but it's still a superbly haunting track!

Just never heard speakers this musical and playful for this cheap! Thank god for hifi bargains!

A few years ago I was considering a pair, partly because of the excellent reviews they got. I asked about them on the Yahoo Tannoy Group, and was shot down, people saying things like "not real Tannoys". I have "real Tannoys" HPD315's, but suspected that the F1's night also be good.

had a set of Mercurys... they were quite good. think the mate had them for a while on the end of his quad 303/33 combo.

Speaks volumes, that does. Bad driving bad :eyebrows:
IMO a pair of Inexpensive Mark Audio Drivers in Recylced Low Fi Speaker Boxes from a thrift sore (2$) will leave 'em fer Dead.
Proof is in the doing.
On the other hand there is Wisdom in being easily pleased.. Life is a Lot simpler.
