Hi all,

After years of computer-based music playback, I'm ready to dip my toes into the analog world of turntables as source. I like the useful information here as well as SPPV focused discussions (super high-end is simply out of my reach and I won't go there even winning a lottery :-) ).

Basic system:
Polk LSI9
Marantz PM15-S2
Harman Kardon HD990
Onkyo SR-TX507
M2Tech Young DAC
iFi Micro iDSD
JRiver + Mac Mini

Hello Michael. Welcome to AOS.

Tell us what music you like and if you have any plans for your system apart from the vinyl side.

You don't have to go 'high end' to get good sounds from records. If you want to buy new, Rega is always a good bet to start with.

Why not start a thread in the Analogue Arts section and discuss your ideas?

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Hi Michael

Start a thread in Analogue Art regarding turntables, arms and cartridges, the collective wisdom will get together and come up with the best you can get for your budget.

Enjoy the forum :)
