WTD: Classic British (or newer) valve power amp + Pro-ject Tube box phono stage

Looking for a classic Leak Stereo 20 or Rogers Cadet or something maybe newer but not Chinese.

Also after the original Pro-ject valve phone stage with 'window' in front.

I have seen it a while back but a bit above budget, having seen a Croft serviced one from a dealer bid to £525 last week that is more the budget I have to be honest! At the risk of causing offence what people may ask in an eBay classified ad (£700-£900) does not mean that is generally what they are worth or end up selling for and I'd rather go by the market bid value - fluctuating it may be and some detest eBay ;) but it's a reasonable barometer.

Max. Don't dismiss all Chinese made amps. The Ming Da (Meixing) and Raphaelite (Sinovt) equipment is very well made, sounds excellent and meets UK voltage requirements if you order the right item.

By the way. I had the ProJect Tube Box SE phono stage that looks the way you describe. I didn't rate it much.

If you find one that needs work let me know I have a good friend who knows British inside out and is very reasonable for servicing , go for a Leak stereo 20 if funds allow , if you want a Rogers cadet which might be more in your budget go for the cadet 2, I'm based around the a Brighton area
