Wanted. MM cartridge with Spherical tip

I would like to use my old Ariston RD80/Linn Basik LVX as a dedicated player for my 60's/70's 45s.

So I'm looking for a spherical tipped cartridge.

Does anybody have anything they can recommend /part with?? budget is £50-75.

I'd guess people on here are likely to have quite a few suitable cartridges. Bear in mind that the LV-X is a lowish mass arm, so a reasonably compliant cartridge may be best.

I continue to have hum problems in my system with my new Philips GP390 cart.
I was going to put it up for loan here on AOS, so if you'd like 1st go at it (and purchase if you wish) then that would be fine.
It's spherically tipped. :)

It's pretty much new - a few dozen hours on it at most - so £30 all in if you want to buy. (£45 new)

It really has quite exceptional sq, imho. As long as you can sort any hum issues.

I'm really looking for a no fuss but tidy spherical tip cart.
its maybe not too well appreciated but many '70's USA 45's were not pressed on vinyl but on some sort of styrene. These do not like elliptical Stylii. I think I'm really attempting to get back to the nice warm sound of a 60's Dansette which IMHO is mostly what the records were mastered to be heard on, rather than a more modern and accurate type thing.. (If that makes sense)

That Shure M3D might well be period "correct" and just the ticket. If not Audio Technica AT91? Rega Carbon? Goldring Elan at a higher price. All well inside your budget and all spherical. Can't imagine they wouldn't work with a Linn Basic.
