The rb300 was a drop in replacement although i think you needed a shim to centre it in hole. So basically it should be same bar hole size being a tad wider

This TD160 has had the sub-chassis and mounting plate for a SME 3009, hence the request.

still have a RB200 arm somewhere in makers box with instructions and how to adjust etc.,. Please give me a couple of days to locate and PM for a reminder. Do you know of anyone who has a method to replace the rubber bias adjuster, mine has now shredded with age, as have not used it for years!!
kind regards.

Thanks TAD. You need to speak to jonnie7 at audio origami he has come up with a method of replacing the rubber bias belt, just google his website audio origami, virtually everyone in the uk forums sends jonnie tonearm a to be repaired, I've sent probably 10-15 over the years. Hope this helps.

The belts fall apart whether the arm is used or not. I note that there is somebody supplying a belt kit on eBay again. It's not the hardest job in the world to replace one, but you do need a practical nature (I did mine --- still got photos of the job in progress).

thanks so much guys. will find the box first and then maybe do some further mods to an old AR, The Turntable XD serial number, with the original arm. Just got a new power supply and motor, from Eric Whitacre. (Sound of the Wood) in the US. Lovely stuff. http://www.soundofthewoodaudio.com. Fitted it myself with some additional drilling for motor mounting.
Once up and running will post some photos.

If you intend to rebuild an R200. Do it on a tray with high sides. As you dismantle the arm stem, the tiny ball bearings in the races tend to drop out and get lost very easily. A tray will catch them. Use fine 'sewing machine oil' type lubricant on these horizontal bearings, not grease and not silicone oil (it disperses too quickly).
