FS. Matched Pair of Western Electric 300B's.

Western Electric 300B's rarely come up for sale, and it's more than likely they will never be manufactured again. Date coded 0552, this pair are from 2005. Serial numbers (226660/226781) on the underside of the boxes, box seals and test certificates match the etched/engraved serial numbers on the valve bases. So, the 'genuine' article!

I am the original owner. This pair have only seen 250 hours use from new. The price reflects the 'Perfect' condition of this pair, and low number of hours used.This is a UK only sale, so no EU/International enquiries please, purely due to not wanting to ship these. I've seen couriers throwing boxes around the place, and it's not pretty!! So, it's collection only. Might consider a part swap for an Audio Note Conqueror 'Silver' 300B stereo power amp. Only looking for the Aluminiun fascia version.

I've heard of the possibilty of counterfeits ( www.6moons.com>we300b>300b Article on WE300B's by Srajan Ebaen from June 2006). I've tried to make the link work with no success. However, I've just typed the above into Google, and it works.

So it's just a question of being cautious when buying. Happy to email photos of all the serial numbers on the bases of the boxes, seals, etc to anyone interested. Sixty2

Reduced to £1100.00. Collection only from HG2. With such little use, these VERY RARE Western Electric 300B's probably have thousands of hours left in them. If you used them for only 2200 hours, that's 50p per hour, for pride of ownership and of course, your unsurpassed musical enjoyment. Good value for money imho! Thanks for looking.

I am amazed that at £1100.00, these are still here! Quite possible there won't be another 'like for like' pair for sale for in The UK for years, and think how much they will 'then' cost to buy. Certainly more than £1100!! Anyway, not going to budge on the price.

Dont get me wrong but Srajan is anything but a reliable source on this matter. The quoted article is just a copy paste of a hearsay, no link to reality there.
