I've heard of them, but not sure where to look or the correct terminology, I have a couple of jewellers loops to view my stylii, but is there a small microscope available where I can view the needle whilst it's in the headshell and sat on an LP in order to view the VTA in action as it were.
Thanks in advance
Al :)
you can get usb microscopes on ebay etc for about a tenner Alan. Ive got one and they are quite good if you have a steady hand and are patient. A few of the guys have got great results with theirs. They are better used in the hand rather than the stand that comes with it
have a look here mate :)

That's what I now use, they are very effective and absurdly cheap. I used to use either a Colton 60x or Cobronics 30x, but couldn't really get on with them.
These were taken with a £10 jobby from eBay.

I bought few months ago a USB microscope, perfect for any deep cleaning job on your stylii, better taking off the clear pastic cover...
The plastic cover is a lens protector. ;)
