THEY SAY: After announcing MQA compatibility last week, the Pioneer XDP-100R is the first enabled portable device in the UK. The high resolution music player launched back in December and is acclaimed for its 24bit playback. Combined with MQA, this player makes for an audiophiles dream. Additional features include apt-x support via Bluetooth, digital output through Micro USB/OTG, support for up to 432GB (32GB internal + dual microSD) and a built in speaker for casual listening without headphones.
Streaming music is also simple, as streaming service apps that include TIDAL, Spotify and Deezer are pre-loaded onto the XDP-100R. Users just need to enter their account details into the app on the player and they will be up and running instantly.
