I hope this isn't out of turn and you may well be aware, but I am pretty sure you can buy a DIY kit from MCRU for about £20. I think this kit uses the same cable and you will arrive at something very close to the original. I stand to be corrected of course and if the mods think this post is inappropriate ( because it stops someone being able to sell you the Rega one) then I apologise in advance and remove if you see fit.

I've built my own Rega clone lead and it's not as good as the original.
Uses the same Lapp mains cable, sure, but to me and another set of ears at the time wasn't the same.

This was with all Rega kit.
If thats what you have, I'd say get the Rega original.
