Q Acoustic 3030 anyone ?

Hello All,

I have asked this in another thread (concerning the 2050 which I cannot find at the moment) but does anyone already have the new Q Acoustic's 3050 model and if so, are the glowing reviews warranted ? I see now, that the (previous) 2050 model has significantly dropped in price.. maybe a good buy ?

I still have a pair of KEF LS50, how would they compare to the Q Acoustics ?

They are pretty darned good. In all honesty I think you would need to spend a hell of a lot more to get a significant improvement.

... now that the new ones are out the price of the 2050i's has fallen quite a bit ... but still I would rather like to compare them to the KEF's.

The 2050's are good, but they're budget floorstanders IMO

The LS50's are superb standmount speakers and you'll not get their timing or clarity from the 2050's, you'll just get more 'boom'

I have just bought of 3010 for the TV and was amazed how good they are. A nice surprise, and the Land Lady loves them I suspect she will want a pair soon in Gloss White mine are Gloss Black, superb finish .

Aye; don't get me wrong, for their price, they're unbeatable IMO (unless you're lucky to get some 2nd hand speakers of a higher range etc)

But against LS50's, they're only ever going to come 2nd IMO

Plus no other speaker looks as gorgeous as the LS50's in white with their blue drivers ;)

Thank's for your all your feedback. I like the LS50's for the same reasons that you do :) ! But in the mean time, I used the money I had set aside for the speakers to get a camera :doh:. So, I guess I'll just stick with the LS50's for the moment.
