Hi all!

André from Bergen Norway. :) Audio addict. Into guitars and hifi since a kid. Rock, 70ies, 80ies, blues.

Got the silver Beresford TC-7534 Caiman MKII DAC (powered by a linear power supply) that I connect to beautiful silver TECHNICS SH-8055 equalizer where I can adjust the sound exactly like I want it before it is sent to two NAD C275BEE power amplifiers that are in bridge mode and each of them drive their separate Cerwin Vega V-12F.

Hello Andre. Welcome to AOS.
Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

NAD/Cerwin Vega - that's my sort of system. Welcome to the forum.

Thank you both. Good to hear Macca. I bought those V12F's way back in 2004 I think, and have not been able to part with them. Until resently I powered them with a 1978 Hitachi mosfet integrated amp, and now that they got the power they always deserved by the NAD power amps this year I love them even more. I joke that the 'burn in time' on them lasted 12 years until the dual C275BEE's got connected.

Cerwin Vega are a bit under rated here in the UK - I was told a lot of them get confiscated due to neighbours complaining ;)

Yes welcome!

I remember flying over Bergen on a trip to Trondheim and it then later appeared in my imaginings of a perfect future life (which I didn't get anywhere near) - it was having a studio overlooking a pretty part of the bay out to sea, perhaps on one of the hundreds of islands, big glass wall/windows to let in the light for the art (dunno what it would have been) I was going to make. Think I drew in some Kef 107s somewhere in front of the window to cover the hifi aspect : )

Bergen must be a great place to live.

Welcome to AoS

Thanks. :)

Yes welcome!

Thanks. :) That was quite a vision. :more: It is a charming little town for sure. Rains alot though, but so does England. :ner:

Kef 107's with a little Grieg and I'm sure you would have been very productive. ;)

Hi André, welcome to AoS. And another Caiman owner I see :). Which linear PSU do you use?

Hi André, welcome to AoS. And another Caiman owner I see :). Which linear PSU do you use?

Thanks Stan. :) My previous dac was the TC-7510. The psu is one of those China models, got 'Zero Zone' written on the front. Put's out 15 volts and 1,6A. Blue voltage display to match the lights on the dac. But good build quality with a weight of 2,2 kg, and it has Nichicon caps. Works great and a noticable sound improvement over the oem switching mode power supply.
