How did you mount it in the fixed headshell Mission arm Ali? The long cantilever looks extremely vulnerable - I'm sure I would have broken it were it mine. :eek: Does the cartridge come with a guard to protect the stylus during installation?

The headshell is fixed Barry, but the arm can be removed, so carts are easy to mount.

I've never used a Benz Ali. Heard a couple, but not long enough to form a proper opinion. They seem pretty well liked.

Well at least you've got it in a decent arm. :)

Are you using any damping? I suppose the need for it may depend largely on the compliance.

A little, just what I was using for the DL S1. Bought a 12" wand too, but I'll need to do some surgery to my deck before I can use it. Will need to look up the compliance compared to the Denon.

It does look vulnerable as do all naked carts as the stylus hang out the bottom of them all , A bit of cart body offer no extra protection any you can still bend the cantilever or stylus :eek:
