That's a superb Dalek you have there. is this one you made yourself?

I had the priviledge of visiting Mick Hall again not long ago. He has a colection of mostly home-constructed Daleks from various era's, including one of the 1960's film models which belonged to Terry Nation himself. I'm only mentioning this because it's amazing how much taller the film and "New Series" Daleks are over the original ones, which are several inches shorter.

But of course, you knew all that long ago...

Enjoy your Dalek. When the BBC get rid of all their props, you may have to lend it to them in future years as has happened before.......;)

No not my work(i wish)its a guy who lives next door to one of my customers. he builds these and sells them. You can actually sit inside them and drive them, they have an electric wheelchair inside,The Black one is for sale but didnt ask how much,i'd imagine theyre not cheap though. They even have a microphone and loudspeaker built in so you can give it the old I AM A DALEK I WILL DESTROY YOU and terrorise the hell out of your neighbours kids:lol:

Very nice Ian.

Building a full size Dalek would be a lot of fun, but you would need a pretty big house to have one of those.

For me its the movie Daleks I like the look of the most, though the new series central section rotation ability corrects an early design flaw. Whats the point of not being able to shoot behind yourself .

There is a company who build Daleks and CyberMan figures professionally (i.e for a living)..I will post a link when I find it. I think this is them...web site changed a lot since I last looked Link http://www.thisplanetearth.co.uk/main/index.html

Please don't....;)

My favourite Dalek design is the one from 'Masterplan, before they got cheapened down for 'Power.........

I wish all of Masterplan was still available. This was one story I remember hiding behind the living-room door and peering round at the telly. The soundtrack survives and the eery background music gives some idea IMO......

P.S. Just found out that dalek Empire IV is now available on (Big Finish) audio. Loved the first three, so I'll have to treat myself I think....
