Please move this if there's a better place for it, but ...
When you've been dealt with as fairly, professionally and generously as follows, you feel others should know.
Last week I bought on ebay the Primare MM30 streaming / DAC upgrade card for my Primare Pre32. I fitted it, it worked, but then updated the firmware for the card and the preamp. The update completed, but the preamp went into "protect" mode. It seems it had somehow installed the firmware for the I32 integrated amp instead of that for the Pre32.
Despite being out of warranty and having self-installed an ebay purchase, Karma, Primare's UK distributor, arranged for the unit to be picked up, checked, the correct firmware installed and, because the Pre shouldn't be able to load the wrong firmware version, did it all at no cost.
You might say quite right, too, but in today's world I still think that's exceptional, and the friendliness, courtesy and professionalism of the people I spoke to on the phone were exemplary.
Hats off to Karma AV.
It must also be said that the ebay vendor was very helpful and even contacted Karma himself on my behalf. It does you good to be reminded that the world's full of good people, too.
