I think you'll be well pleased with them Richie!

Jerry, I didn't realise anyone on this forum had a pair (I got mine from the Kickstarter last year, both Pro and A versions). What did you think (and out of interest, what caused you to sell them on?) ?

Hi Sam

Yes, excellent 'phones.
Really good sound once I'd swapped out the 'anti-wax' earbuds with the treble-deadening gauze in, which they came with. I was disappointed with them until I realised what that gauze was doing - I hate a dull sound. But they sound nice and perky with the T-200 'buds rather than the TX-200 which have the gauze in.
The earbuds I have supplied to Richie are the T-200 - so if he feels the sound is too bright, try the TX-200.

I got the R2A on the recommendation of Mick 'mmar'.

I got mine new off ebay after the Kickstarter programme, at a good price, but not as good as you did, Sam! £125 I think.

I've never had an In Ear before, and after a few months I just feel I'm a bit more comfortable with Out Of Ear !!

So I'm on a hunt now to find something to replace them with.
Out of fun, and a love for good/interesting looking vintage gear, I've just bought meself a pair of B&O Form 1 phones.

:stalks:

Not a lot of bass, so I go via an amp with tone controls and the bass set to max. - another vintage item, a Philips Black Tulip pre-amp. :)
But they sound pretty decent with that.

The B&O will do me in the interim, but I'm still looking for a 'proper' set of phones which don't leak sound too much. The Flares were perfect for that. :(
