Thought I would start this thread , Feel free to add yours
First up is Allison Moyet " Alf " album , One of my recent 10p purchases on cassette :eyebrows:
I have this in vinyl as well, I like listening 2 it as it has some decent tracks and is well produced
Favorite tracks are
Love resurrection
Invisible
All cried out
This is a album I can listen 2 all the tracks and is very enjoyable :)
Alison has a gritty / husky voice instantly recognisable ;)

This is an album I can return to and always find an enjoyable listen. Used to play my sister's copy back in the 70's before I purchased my own (which could now do with replacing). Also have on CD for the occasional play in the car.

Cold Chisel - East. Quintessential Australian rock. Very nice production and great songs. Don Walker is a modern day poet with a great lyrical style and nobody could deliver the song like Jimmy Barnes.

I always seem to go back to Kate Bush - The Kick Inside; stunning album. Very clever lyrically and musically and produced in part by Mr Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame.
Love 'Man with a child in his eyes' apparently she was 12 when she wrote it.
Ralph McTell.. Still playing at over 70 and a fine musician. Lives in Cornwall and unusually for people in showbiz has been married for over 50 years...or was last time i heard... His 74 hit which was written some years b4.... Streets of London is still a classic to this day and really gets the hackles up in a good way

Err.. I'm not sure how I would go about picking an artist to talk about for this thread - it's a bit of an open ended question! Here's a blast from the past: The Beatles. Not a massive fan but I certainly appreciate some of their songs.

The list would be endless. Most folk listen to music from bygone days on the 'what are you listening to' thread.
