NOW ON HOLD PENDING COLLECTION THANKS FOR ALL THE INTEREST

Selling a pair of Tannoy Cheviots, with HPD315a drivers and crossovers.

The good bits:
* The HPD315a drivers (the later HPD driver, same as the ones in my Canterburys) were re-coned (including a re-foam of course) at Lockwood Audio just over a year ago, just before I got them from Mark Pitcher, and retain the slight bluish/purple tint of recent recodes. So they will need no attention for many years.
* The cabinets are in pretty good order with minimal wear and tear excepting some minor marks most of which would come out with a bit of Danish oil - perfectly presentable in a domestic setting. They are 100% original, no modifications.
Crossovers are un-tampered with originals.
* The grilles are complete and in good order, though one gold badge is missing.
If wanted I’ll chuck in a pair of stands that lift them a few inches off the ground which helps in lots of ways.

Not so good:
* I have mislaid some of the bolts, so the bolts don’t match up in type, and one side is held in by three bolts rather than four as that’s all the bolts I had handy. I’m not the greatest at these things, what’s in it are what I had kicking around.
* Although the baskets are the same gold type, have fairly close serial numbers, and have identical cones changed at the same time etc, one of them has had slots cut to widen the hole and allow easier fitting of bolts. This is not visible underneath the washers but mentioned so there’s no surprises.

Looking for £575 collected from Bracknell area for these. They would work very nicely either as a lovely original pair of Cheviots, or as a superb donor pair for a Tannoy project. Personally (having had 15in Monitor Golds, 15in HPDs, 12in Golds and 12in HPDs as well as later Tannoys, in cabinets ranging from large Lockwood Universals to GRFs to Autographs to tiny Chatsworths, the 12in HPD is my favourite and that’s what I’ve ended up with in my RFC Canterburys. These were for a further project that never materialised.

**EDIT**: in response to question, just to confirm these are the 12in drivers (HPD315 = 315mm driver diameter). Cabinet size is 85 x 45 x 26cm, and being front ported they can go pretty much right up against the wall if necessary.
