We'll I've had a good Easter so far ,
Friday spent at Wheels day followed by a pub lunch and then trips to local hotrod shops to buy some parts and socialise
Saturday a trip to hifi shop and the purchase of new phono stage and tonearm Didnt intend to but you what it's like when you see all the goodies
Sunday nice relaxed day and I cooked a roast for my family
today just off to the beach to walk the dogs and have a breakfast followed by I trip into Brighton to buy some new vinyl
Been very quiet bar the wind ...cold and wet too!, neighbours pipes still waking me up etc...another complaint winging its way.
Bar that, ive sold the tt so i will be eating for a few months lol
Could be worse

Friday I was in Liverpool, lovely weather there, park full of children playing, including a gang on the roof of the electricity sub station chucking bricks at the kids down below.
Ah the joy of youth.
We have double digit temperatures promised for Wednesday. It's been a while.

Well the internet and phone have been down on and off since before the weekend and I've had no response from the service provider, I got drenched in the wind, rain and hail walking the dog yesterday, the boiler has now sprung a leak and caused a small flood in the kitchen and I woke up with the beginnings of a cold this morning. Other than that it's been just fine. :rolleyes:
We have double digit temperatures promised for Wednesday. It's been a while.
It was 16°C here on Friday... Much colder now, though!

Weather a bit unpredictable but a good weekend had.
Friday spent at home, some shopping to restock empty cupboards after our holiday catsitter ate us out of house and home, I don't mind though the cats like him.
Saturday was off to London for a gig, drinking on the train and all night in Camden. Got home for lunchtime yesterday, a quick nap then a catch up with some pals in tge local. A few pints turned into a 4am sesh with the guitars out and lots of song.
Up this morning to make brekky, going to hit the couch for the afternoon then have a swim later.
Wind is getting up here now but I think we're missing the worst of it.
All in all a good weekend and I need to give the liver a rest for a week now.

All in all had a good Easter, got everything done I planned to do :)
My Easter has been very pleasant indeed - just got back from having a lovely bit of roast lamb at my sisters :).

My Easter has been very upsetting. Colin's mum is in hospital and has been given 1-2 days. We went to see her on Saturday and it was lovely to see all Colin's large family, as well as all the youngsters, turn up to say their goodbyes. Although she cannot talk or open her eyes she did show reaction to the family being around her, bless her. She would be 95 in April..

I am very sorry to read that, a difficult time. I know what this is like :( I hope it is peaceful, pain free and family are present.

Sorry to hear about your other halfs mum Bev. I know the feeling !!
My Easter has been ok considering my wifes sister has been on morphine and paliative care for the last week . :( She has an advanced brain tumour after surviving ovarian cancer for the last 2 and a half yrs!
She is only 50 but is a former nurse and an inspiration to us all!!
A funny thing happened yesterday - my brother in law whos Turkish and difficult to understand , Likes gin and tonic , rang me at quarter to eight in the morning , as I was milking and in the noisy confines of our dairy tank room , told me Helen was dead ,and added nearly dead , not long to go !!!!:rolleyes: Having seen my dad pass away , it can be a bit like a balloon deflating , not exactly obvious , so understandingly , I said sorry and thanked him for telling me and said I would tell the wife and off he went .
Ros and I and daughter , went along to the house and the rest of the brothers and sisters (she has 6 )were there and in a surreal way , they didnt seem upset but were looking through old photos and wandering in and out of the room where the hospital bed was with sis in law (lying in state as I thought )
Turned out Helen was still with us !!:doh: A pleasant shock but stuff worthy of Still Game sitcom or Waiting For God.
In seriousness it was a lovely afternoon ,lots of hugging and I am sure when she goes we will all be ready as we can be for the final moment:)

Great story Anto, good you took it in right way. I remember back when hospital woke me in early hrs to say my gran had died.. I had to tell my mum, so started to wake her, then had second thoughts, and wondered if i,d dreamt it. So i actually phoned the hospital back just to make sure.... I didny want to freak her out for nowt. Oddly thiscwas almost the same as many years b4 when my dad died in same way at about same time.. This time it was my brother who hit the phone on first ring..he had similar reaction to me...
Anyways i hope she has as comfortable a time as possible.. She sounds like a wonder.:)

Easter was not too bad actually. For the first time in may years all my kids were at home for Easter. The eldest had to make an eight hour flight to get here, but at least he made the effort. He's off to the airport again this morning, back to where he came from. But I am a bit worried about what he has packed and is taking back with him. Some of it is food stuff, which makes me wonder what kind of things he is able to buy and cook where is is living.
