The 70's dutch football legend has passed, having succumbed to lung cancer at 68. I remember his name and face as a kid.

Marvellous player was Cruijff ... Remember him well in 70's. He and Ajax came to Ibrox in 73 for the first(unofficial) European Super Cup. Humped Gers home and away, with Johan scoring in both legs. Was said to have the strongest groin in football, lol, and could stop and change direction on a sixpence from full flight.

His playing (along with that of his compatriots) lit up the 1974 World Cup.
One of the very best players ever to have kicked a ball.

RIP Johan.
You may be gone but you'll never be forgotten.

Another legend has left us this time one of the greatest footballers who ever lived. Cruyff was my hero when I was a nipper the way he could dance with the ball and the way he thought about every turn, pass, shot it is no exaggeration to say he was the Hendrix of football. He has left us but certainly never forgotten
RIP:JOHAN CRUYFF
