Hi folks,
I hope this is the correct forum, I am after some ideas for a short list of speakers to check out alongside some Proac D18's. I will be driving them with some big Lumley M150 mono blocks and would prefer something that can go back further towards the wall rather than a metre out as my Super tablettes.
Cheers.

PMC can be placed close to wall as they are front ported.

Having the port at the front (it's not a port as such on the PMCs but the mouth of the transmission line) doesn't necessarily mean that a speakers is suitable for near wall positioning. You really need a speaker that has been specifically voiced for the bass lift an adjacent boundary will give. Examples are the Linn, Isobarik, Sara, Kan, Naim, IBL, SBL and a bunch of others. More round earth there are Audio Note.

MY Tannoy Golds sound 'good" wherever the hell I place them.
And with 40 years of owning the rascals I've pretty well tried all possible locations, at least once.
Speakers that depend on a specific location, are in MY world view: Useless.
